<p>Hello! I am interested in <em>jijin</em> hats, a kind of liturgical hat that was used in China. I'm trying to figure out what material would be used to give this hat its shape/its stiffness? I'd like to be able to recreate one, but I'm not sure what kind of leather/buckram/material would be needed, and if it would have to be glued to the inside of the fabric? I have a background in sewing, but not in millinery, so any information or advice you can give is appreciated! :)…</p>

This allows you to explain what you want to achieve.</li> <li>You get to chose from a selection of models that we are familiar with.</li> <li>We set a date.</li> <li>You arrange courier and pick up of hats.</li> <li>We look after your hats (we are a pet free, smoke free home and frankly Anjee treats them like they are her children!!)</li> <li>The day of the shoot arrives. You are linked in via video so you can view the hats but also ensure they are sat right.</li> <li>Through a secure web link as the photos are taken they are sent direct to your device wherever you are in the world, as long as you have wifi, 4G etc.</li> <li>Hats are picked up and returned to you via your courier.</li> <li>We edit the hat images so they are ready for you to use.</li> <li>We manage the whole event for you.</li> </ul> <p>If this is of interest to you just let us know. I am recently been toying with the idea to immigrate or find internship in Australia to gain more experience and be able to have some classes. Looked up many ways but as young Milliner I do not have many recognitions, awards etc to fit under Talented person visa. :( Also there is requirement to be nominate by well-known and country-wide recognised organisation or person. So upset that I do not have any of it.

<p>Hi</p> <p></p> <p>Does anyone out there use really old fashioned hat blocking techniques?  I trawled the internet to see if there's any instruction on how to block a hat with blocking cane wire and no joy!!!</p> <p></p> <p>I usually use a blocking spring or rope....but saw some cane online and rather fancy using it...can someone provide clear instruction as I suspect its a dying technique....</p> <p>Thanks in advance</p>
