<p>The kettle- preferably one for the hob that doesn't switch itself off once it reaches boiling point. Also, another cost effective way is using a wallpaper stripper and cutting the hose down to a manageable size. Both work fantastically well and are widely used throughout the profession. I bought a stove top kettle from K-Mart for around $12. The amount of steam it produces is just as good as a Jiffy branded one. Love using it!

<p>My husband restores commercial coffee machines.  Finally the monster 'Mother Ship', in the kitchen has become more than just a caffeine sanity saver.  I use the steam wand on the coffee machine, because of the size and pressure it builds, the steam is pretty powerful.  Even better, the cup warmer on the top now acts as a great way to get things dry.</p>
